Experience a guided Melukat Ceremony, the sacred Balinese Water Purification Ceremony, at Beji Griya Waterfall. Cleanse your body, mind, and spirit in the temple’s holy spring and cascading waters, guided by a knowledgeable local who will lead you through each ritual with deep cultural insight.
Beji Griya Waterfall is a newly revered location for the sacred Melukat Ceremony, known for its powerful and transformative energy. What makes this experience truly unique is the screaming session at the waterfall, where participants are encouraged to scream as loudly as they can—a cathartic release of trauma, burdens, and negative influences held deep within the body and mind.
This activity can only be done with the local guide provided by the temple organizer (not by us). We always book your session in advance, but please note that the temple still applies a first come, first serve system even with reservations.
Pick-up time will be arranged during booking. Sometimes we may adjust your pick-up time to match the temple’s opening hours (09:00). For example, if your pick-up location is very close to the temple and the time booked is too early, we will change it so you arrive when the temple is open.
If all guides are busy when you arrive, you will need to wait until one becomes available for you. This waiting time may affect other plans or schedules you have.
This experience is limited to the Melukat Ceremony only. It does not include other spiritual practices you may expect, such as palm reading, healing consultations, or sessions with a shaman. Other spiritual experiences are available on site after the ceremony, at an additional cost, payable directly at the location.
This experience takes place at Beji Griya Waterfall and is carried out in English. The full program, normally lasts around 90 to 120 minutes from start to finish.
Travelers undergoing menstruation are strictly not allowed to enter the temple or participate in the Melukat Ceremony. If you menstruate after making a booking, you can request a refund or reschedule.
Kindly check your regular menstruation cycle. Rescheduling is free, and our Refund Policy for this specific experience is strict and time-based as follows:
100% refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before the pick-up time.

This activity may require the presence of a Balinese Hindu priest. However, the ceremony can still proceed without a priest if for any reason the priest cannot be present. This decision is entirely up to the temple organizer.
This experience is private, with one guide dedicated exclusively to your group. However, the temple itself remains open to other visitors and is not reserved privately for your use.
When performing the Melukat Ceremony, you will be asked to remove your clothes, wearing only your underwear. Your clothes can be safely stored in the locker provided. You will then receive a special garment called a Sarong to cover your body. In short, only your underwear will get wet during the ceremony. Please bring a change of underwear to wear afterward, a towel is already provided at Beji Griya Waterfall.
