Experience a guided Melukat Ceremony, the sacred Balinese Water Purification Ceremony, at Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple. Cleanse your body, mind, and spirit in the temple’s holy spring water, guided by an expert who will lead you through each ritual with deep cultural insight.
Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple is often referred to as the "lite version" of Tirta Empul Temple, offering a smaller, more peaceful area with fewer visitors. The sacred waters here emerged from the ground after the prayer of a high Hindu priest. During a long and exhausting journey, the priest and his army became weak and sick from the intense heat. In desperation, the priest prayed to the gods for relief, and the sacred spring appeared, providing water that healed both the priest and his soldiers. Today, the temple is where people come to partake in the Melukat Ceremony.
This experience is limited to the Melukat Ceremony only. It does not include other spiritual practices you may expect, such as palm reading, healing consultations, or sessions with a shaman. Other spiritual experiences as such are not available on site.
This experience takes place at Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple and is carried out in English. The full program, including the temple tour, normally lasts around 60 minutes from start to finish. Please note that Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple is considered a small temple. We are not certain whether the short temple visit and looking around during your Melukat Ceremony can be regarded as a full temple tour.
Travelers undergoing menstruation are strictly not allowed to enter the temple or participate in the Melukat Ceremony. If you menstruate after making a booking, you can request a refund or reschedule.

100% refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
50% refund if cancelled between 1 and 23 hours before the appointment.
