Unlike other temples, the Melukat Ceremony at Telaga Waja Temple is truly unique. The purification ritual must be performed completely naked, without any clothing. You will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide and a local Hindu priest throughout the process.
Experience a guided Melukat Ceremony, the sacred Balinese Water Purification Ceremony, at Telaga Waja Temple. Cleanse your body, mind, and spirit in the temple’s holy spring and cascading waters, guided by a knowledgeable local who will lead you through each ritual with deep cultural insight.
During the naked purification session, you and your group will have exclusive use of the sacred area. Our guide, the priest, and all other people will step away to ensure complete privacy throughout the ritual.
This activity requires the presence of a Balinese Hindu priest. If the priest is suddenly unavailable on your chosen date for any reason, you may reschedule your session or request a full refund. Please note that refunds may take up to 14 days to appear in your account.
Pick-up time will be arranged during booking. Upon arrival at the temple, you may need to wait until earlier participants have completed their session. This waiting period may affect any other plans or schedules you may have. We always book the session in advance with the temple organizer, but please note that first come, first serve still applies even with advanced reservations.
This experience is limited to the Melukat Ceremony only. It does not include other spiritual practices you may expect, such as palm reading, healing consultations, or sessions with a shaman, as such experiences are not available at the location.
This experience takes place at Telaga Waja Temple and is carried out in English. The full program, normally lasts around 60 to 90 minutes from start to finish.
Travelers undergoing menstruation are strictly not allowed to enter the temple or participate in the Melukat Ceremony. If you menstruate after making a booking, you can request a refund or reschedule.
Kindly check your regular menstruation cycle. Rescheduling is free, and our Refund Policy for this specific experience is strict and time-based as follows:
100% refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before the pick-up time.
50% refund if cancelled between 1 and 23 hours before the pick-up time.
No refund if cancelled less than 1 hour before the pick-up time.

This experience is carried out privately, meaning one guide is assigned only to your group. The temple is reserved only for you during the naked ritual. Please be kind and don’t make others wait too long.
When performing the Melukat Ceremony, you will be asked to remove your clothes and underwear, leaving you totally naked. Your clothes can be safely stored in the locker we provide or around the temple area. As we mentioned in the description, everyone leaves the temple just for you during this session. In short, please bring a towel to dry yourself.
